NCC PRESENTS: ORIGINALS ONLY with Olivia Ellen Lloyd, Wolf Van Elfmand, & Red Mcadam

NORTHEAST COUNTRY COALITION PRESENTS:

“Originals Only” featuring Olivia Ellen Lloyd, Wolf Van Elfmand & Red McAdam…

Olivia Ellen LLoyd is a West Virginia native and proud of it. Raised by a musician and a public school educator in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, her sound is a combination of her deeply rooted past and her fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants present. With resounding accolades of her debut album, Loose Cannon, Olivia Ellen Lloyd has been on a steady diet of writing, touring and honing her bandleading chops at every honky tonk from Nashville to New York.

Raised in Colorado, guitarist and songwriter Wolf van Elfmand creates with inspiration from a swath of American roots music. Since 2019 he’s released 5 records including Don’t Call It Country, which hit shelves on March 1st 2024. Wolf is undoubtedly a familiar-looking, archetypal figure from a version of the West, with musical DNA patchwork comprised of a 50s and 60s folk revival vocal vibrato plus round and sturdy fingerstyle guitar picking with hands trying to figure what a Rocky Mountain-raised, less acrobatic Chet Atkins might have sounded like. His work is a product of a good sense of humor, a good heart, and his ability to ignore the omnipresent whispers from life asking him to be still. Wolf has provided support for Pokey LaFarge, Willie Watson, Turnpike Troubadours, Charlie Parr, Karl Blau, Wayne Hancock, and many others. He has also performed at prominent roots festivals including Salmonfest (Alaska), The UMS (Denver), Midwest Music Fest (Wisconsin), and Brooklyn Folk Festival (New York).

Red McAdam was born in the industrial heart of New Jersey, but his mother Maggie made damn sure that he would be reared on folk and country music. She served up a steady diet of American songwriters from Karen Dalton to Shania Twain to Dwight Yoakam on the kitchen radio day after day. Red’s father, a lifelong bass player, took it from there, teaching him mandolin, banjo, bass, and guitar. Forever restless, Red ventured through dozens of genres before returning to his Country roots.
