Northeast Country Coalition Presents: “Originals Only” - A night for the workers in song, showcasing the best of emerging original Americana music, featuring:
Jacob Ritter is the frontman of Wilson Springs Hotel, a high-powered country and bluegrass outfit based out of Richmond, Virginia. Ritter expertly navigates through slow & somber crooner country, to rippin’ honky tonk, to hard hitting indie rock, thru almost psych-rock like guitar tones, and back again. His voice tells a story through all of those varying energies; one of heartbreak, hard truths, putting yourself out there even though you know it could hurt.

Nathan Xander writes songs that are steeped in the quiet, restrained tension of what Greil Marcus called the 'Old, Weird America'. With musical sensibilities inspired by latter-day Nick Lowe, Tom T. Hall, and Paul Westerberg, Xander sorts through loss and evolving identity as he stands on the threshold of a new era in his own career.

From a young age Leah Tash was drawn to folk, blues and country music and found solace in artists like Bessie Smith, Bob Dylan and The Carter Family. These early influences now dance through the stories Leah tells in song, as she reflects on healing, heartache and the nurturing of an adventurous spirit. Since the age of 17 years old, Leah has been performing her songwriting throughout New York City and beyond. Today, you can catch her pouring her heart into these songs live either as a solo act, or a swinging rock ’n’ roll ensemble with The Leah Tash Band.
